film; Monty Python and the Holy Grail
director: Terry Gillian and Terry Jones
year produced: 1975
Cast: Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Eric Idle, Terry Jones, and Michael Palin
The setting of this film is in great Britain and is set in Britain and is set in England in 932 ad . This movie is a spin off on the story of king Arthur and the knights of the round table. The comedic styles of this movie only used very few actors who played several different characters. Graham Chapman played King Arthur as well as the voice of god. The nights of the round table included John Cleese who played Sir Lancelot. Sir Robin was played by Eric Idle ans Terry Jones was casted as Sir Bedevere. together they all set off on pretend horses in search of the holy grail.
My opinion of this film was very back and forth.I did not find this comedy all that funny. I feel as if I expected more. I liked the setting of this film like the scenery. I did not like how some parts of the film were a little too random. Sometimes I felt as if they were trying too hard with the plot. I did not enjoy the subtitles in the beginning or the extremely long wait in the end. The flashing lights and the music in the end made me extremely angry. Overall, it did make me laugh a few times so i do give it props.
This is not a movie I would EVER pay to watch. If you like watching men set off on imaginary horses and break into violent killing sprees, then this could be just the movie for you. I gave Monty Python and the Holy Grail one out of four stars. This is not a film I would want to see again. I think you should go and see the movie though. Your perspective may be different. If you get angry or irritated easily, I do not advise you to watch this film.
