FR5- Repeat:A Review of Edge of Tomorrow

Film: Edge of Tomorrow
Year Produced: 2014
Director: Doug Liman
Cast: Tom Cruise, Emily Blunt, Bill Paxton, Brendon Gleson, Kick Gurry, and Dragomir Mrsic

Major William(Tom Cruise) cage sets the outcome of the alien invasion that takes place in Edge of tomorrow. This film was  directed by Doug Liman and released in 2014. This sci-fi film kicks off as Cage arrives in London to meet at the European Headquarters. General Brigham (Brendon Gleeson) assigns him to war, even though Cage objects. Major Cage was then arrested, knocked out, and wakes up at the wars forwarding base assigned to combat.

Master Sergeant Farell assigns cage to J-squad. They suit up and get combat ready as they plan a invasion in France. The invasion was a complete slaughter but before cage dies he kills an alpha and has acquired the  ability to reset the day once he dies.

I would give Edge of tomorrow four stars. This sci-fi film had amazing special effects as well as technology. I liked the way their suits looked . It was very robotic. The best party of the movie is watching the bond that was built. You see the connection made from having to live the same day over again. The only nothing I didn't like was how in the end of the film they have to relive that same day over again and Rita (Emily Blunt) remembers nothing.

FR4- Heroes or?: A review of Oceans 11

Film: Oceans 11
Director: Steven Soderbergh
Year Produced; 2001
Cast; George Clooney, Andy Garcia, Julia Roberts, Brad Pitt

Oceans 11 is a crime film released in 2001.the film takes place in modern day in Las Vegas Nevada, Where Danny Ocean ( George Clooney) is released from prison and falls back into his own ways. He forms a team to help him rob a casino owned by Terry Bendict ( Andy Garcia). Danny Ocean ends up winning his wife Tess Ocean ( Julia Robets) back.

Oceans 11 was a really good film. I like how they showed all the planning plus they had a walk through on what the casino scenarios would look like. It was nice seeing what goes on inside a criminals mind. It was interesting viewing their motives and reasoning. Oddly, the film made them seem like heroes. This film also showed great problem solving skills, probably not for the best reasons though. However I do not like how complicated the movie seemed. It felt hard to follow along.

I would give this film three out of four stars.I found that this was a very interesting film.I actually would like to see this again. I advise people to view this film because it has a different view on the crime and  film genre. Oceans 11 kept me on the edge of my seat. It was a movie I didn't want to miss a second of. I thought it had a pretty amazing plot.

FR3- Flashing lights and colorful music: A review of Monty Python and the Holy Grail

film; Monty Python and the Holy Grail
director: Terry Gillian and Terry Jones
year produced: 1975
Cast: Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Eric Idle, Terry Jones, and Michael Palin

The setting of this film is in great Britain and is set in Britain and is set in England in 932 ad . This movie is a spin off on the story of king Arthur and the knights of the round table. The comedic styles of this movie only used very few actors who played several different characters. Graham Chapman played King Arthur as well as the voice of god. The nights of the round table included John Cleese who played Sir Lancelot. Sir Robin was played by Eric Idle ans Terry Jones was casted as Sir Bedevere. together they all set off on pretend horses in search of the holy grail.

My opinion of this film was very back and forth.I did not find this comedy all that funny. I feel as if I expected more. I liked the setting of this film like the scenery. I did not like how some parts of the film were a little too random. Sometimes I felt as if they were trying too hard with the plot. I did not enjoy the subtitles in the beginning or the extremely long wait in the end. The flashing lights and the music in the end made me extremely angry. Overall, it did make me laugh a few times so i do give it props.

This is not a movie I would EVER pay to watch. If you like watching men set off on imaginary horses and break into violent killing sprees, then this could be just the movie for you. I gave Monty Python and the Holy Grail one out of four stars. This is not a film I would want to see again. I think you should go and see the movie though. Your perspective may be different. If you get angry or irritated easily, I do not advise you to watch this film.

FR2- The Shattering Serparation: A review of War Horse

Film: War Horse
Year Produced:2011
Director Steven Spielberg
Cast: Peter Mullan, Emily Watson,Jeremy Irvine, Tom Hiddleston, and Benedict Cumberbatch

War Horse takes place in Great Britain before and during world war one. Ted Narracott (Peter Mullan) goes out to buy a plow horse for his family's farm but instead bids on a race horse which he bought for 30 guineas. While struggling to pay rent, they must teach Joey to plow the farm to make their money back, so Albert Narracott (Jeremy Irvine) takes on the responsibility of training Joey. In the long run Joey successfully plows the farm and right before harvest the farm floods and destroys the crops. Devastatingly,Ted Naracott sells joey to Captain Nicholls (Tom Hiddleston). From then on Joey was officially made a War horse and Albert follows in suit and later enlist in the army.

I really like the scenery of this film . I liked how they showed more than just war and combat. In war horse they showed normal people who also lost everything, like food and how they had to rashen. The film showed how food and supplies were things taken from innocent people in midst of war. the only thing I did not like about this film was that during the fighting and whatnot they stopped the war just to check the horse caught in the wires. I doubt that such things happen in real life.

Watching war horse made me feel so emotional. the whole first half of the film literally gets you invested into the bond that is built between Albert and Joey. The separation between the two was shattering. i would give this film four start and i would recommend it to viewers. I enjoyed watching this movie i would view it again. I oddly thought it had the perfect amount of combat and affection. If you are an animal lover i strongly advise you watch this film!
